Hello all, it's bitter here and a freezing wind to boot, it was snowing when DD left work yesterday but then her school is further up the valley. I got quite a few little jobs done yesterday so only the dw needs emptying today. I sorted the freezers too (and made a new list) and I've got quite a bit uncooked party food as we were 5 instead of 7 people on Boxing Day and I didn't cook it all. Anyway we're going to pick up the DGC later so they will see that lot off at tea time, they do love a "picky" tea !
I rang Dad last night and he's still coughing too but now he's lost his glasses so he'll wear his old ones till they turn up. Goodness knows where he's put them this time.
dp1 I'm sorry the decision was a no. Enjoy finishing Dobbie even if the cake doesn't fly !
Camelot hope the appointment goes well and you don't get lost.
WW it's scary when people bother you late at night. We had someone at the door selling Virgin media quite late in the evening a few weeks back.
TA we used to get calls for an Indian takeaway 😂
Take care all, hope the poorly ones feel a bit better today.

Good morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x Hope the office is warm for you today.
Very cold here but no frost or slippiness which is great. I got my work clothes and packed breakfast/lunch out ready last night so I didn’t have too much to do this morning. I put a darks wash on this morning and DH will sort it on the airer. This is part of me getting into my new routine and being more organised. Let’s see how long it lasts lol.
@camelot1001 – hope the appointment goes okay this morning and the work dramas are minimal x
Sounds like a busy and productive day in store for you @AlwaysAllie – stay warm!
Glad you got out yesterday @Gers mmmmm to the steak pie
Enjoy the bracing walk @RedRuby1231 if your guests are up for it!
Annoying about the late night buzzer @Wimbledonwomble!
@IzzyBee – there’s always a volunteer back stop at park run – they walk the course to make sure everyone is accounted for – so you won’t be last – ever!! Good luck x
Belated happy birthday to @WickedLady4’s DH for yesterday. I hope you had a good time out with the family and enjoy your Morris meal tonight x
Yes we watched the PO drama @dp1 – just shocking. There’s a petition – I will be signing. Sorry about the PIP decision x
Dinner tonight is Pork Szechuan (sorry @RedRuby1231!) which is a good SW recipe we all enjoy.
Take care all

Morning everyone just got back from a cleaning job it’s cold I’ve got soup for lunch . Taff you can hardly tell the difference between me and Usain Bolt except that I would look like a pink effalump if I wore all my gear so I intend sticking to a pair of joggers and plenty of thermals it’s down by the river at Durham my first run as my son keeps saying . Although you would have laughed last night when I came back from having my haircut I thought it’s dark nobody can see me so I ran ten steps and walked ten steps until I got to the main road it nearly killed me I couldn’t get my breath then a man asked if I was alright I told him I had a chest infection. I am going on a good walk tonight after work with my daughter in law we might try and pick up a bit of speed . It’s nice to hear some of you are getting better otherwise it’s just the same old here . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

@-taff It's Plough Monday, which is the start of the English agricultural year. Plough Monday - Wikipedia
Because we practice on a Tuesday we celebrate it a day late! Goodness knows why the church service is a week late; they must have their reasons! We bless the Plough outside the church then celebrate with mulled wine and sausage rolls8
