Just had a reply from gladstones.

They haven’t addressed any of our points. And the attachments just directs me to a bunch ofPCN’s that were allegedly issued (obviously some of them I haven’t received).

They have neglected to reply to any of the 3 points in the above letter by @Coupon-mad or perhaps they were responding to the Subject Access Request? Not sure…

Should I resend the above letter with the 3 points?

Obviously ask the questions again and say you assume they were too hard?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Small update.
    The car has been sold.

Whilst I’m awaiting their next move, do I need to inform either the private parking firm or gladstones solicitors that I am no longer the registered keeper?

The fact that it has been sold will be of no interest to anyone.
The significant point is that you were the RK at the time of the alleged parking incident.

I don't understand why you might think it matters. Rest assured it doesn't affect anything.

Just make sure you/the buyer complete the necessary paperwork to advise DVLA of the new keeper details and that you receive notification that you are no longer the keeper; you don't want someone else's PCNs!

    Thanks everyone.

Still waiting for their next move/court papers to arrive.

Just a side thought I had, if this ends up going to court and regardless if I win or lose, will this somehow show up on DBS checks? Couldn't find the answer online, and I'm slightly worried as I am a healthcare professional and don't want this to come back and bite me later.

Nope. I also have an enhanced DBS and it would only show criminal offences.

Anyway even if you lose, by following our clear advice you NEVER get left with a CCJ!

Yep - template rubbish. An admin fee for 'debt recovery' is NOT the PCN.  See other threads re the next step:

report Gladstones to HMRC for VAT concerns

Do that now please. Takes 10 minutes.
