Lol!You have an empty gas tank? You lucky lucky bar stew...A mate with a camper van visited recently, and he bemoaned the fact that you simply cannot buy an empty gas cylinder to get refilled. They are soooo rare that they sell for £80 upwards. So, eBay or similar. And that'll be 15%, thankooverymush.1

Switching to the next smaller size equates to hassle in terms of having to get a refill more frequently and/or paying more per kg. So sourcing a cylinder of the optimum size is what the second-hand market was all about.1

Council recycling centre, or your local Freecycle and/or Facebook pages. You may also have a local Calor centre that will take them, or maybe a scrapyard.0

Empty cylinders should be returned to Calor for safe disposal & recycling.Call Calor, and they should be able to arrange collection without requiring you to enter in to a new contract or purchase a refill - https://www.calor.co.uk/gas-bottles/refills-and-returns/returnsedit- Those little lightweight CampGaz type canisters as used for camping, just puncture and pop in to the recycling bin.
Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -

I don't know whether that came to anything. Likewise, it is possible some councils have made arrangements to collect cylinders at HWS/HRC locations. There was a lot of concern about 'orphaned' cylinders being flytipped and the obvious safety issues that posed. (ditto old fire extinguishers)0

Our council recycling centre won't take them. I ended up giving mine away free on Freecycle when that was popular.0
