Forgotten yahoo mail password

Hello all and happy new year.
Have any of you had any experience in forgetting your password for yahoo mail or no where to find out please?

I recently changed phone from an iPhone to a google pixel. I tried to put my yahoo mail onto my new phone. I thought I knew my password for it but must have changed it at some point and forgotten it. I selected the forgotten password option but the only recovery option is through an email address that no longer exists due to inactivity.
Thankfully I still have access to my email as it is permanently signed in via the multi email app (not the actual yahoo mail app) on my old iPhone and iPad. However I would like to add it to my new phone as this is what I’ll have on me most of the time and the other two devices won’t last forever. Not to mention it’s inconvenient and annoying.
Any help or experience will be very appreciated.

Did you set up a recovery phone number as well as an email? If not then are you able to resurrect the recovery email account?

Do you have the Yahoo app installed somewhere that has biometric login enabled? That would allow access to the account without the password.

If these don't work then there is a premium rate phone number support service but to be honest by this stage I think you're at the save everything you might need while you've still got access stage and get yourself a new email account.

if the email recovery address literally no longer exists ie has been deleted and not assigned to anyone else can you not just recreate it

Can't you display the password on your iPhone?

Gmail/Outlook/Yahoo do not recycle email addresses, so if it has expired, you can't get it back.
