Insurance for flood home

If a property has been flooded in the weath, excess is £800. How much do you think the clean up and repair needs to be to be worth claiming on insurance rather than paying outof pocket. Worried about costs of future premiums going up. My experience of claiming for car insurance is money I saved by insurance paying out rather than going directly to a garage is that they claw it back in future premiums.

Bear in mind that the premiums will almost certain go up anyway because of the flooding history, even if you don't make a claim.
