Experian Identity Plus

In early 2023 a financial institution with which I do business was the target of a cyberattack and client data was stolen. As part of the mitigation procedures clients were given a complimentary annual subscription to the Experian Identity Plus service. The main features of this being the ability to “lock” your Experian credit report to guard against potential fraudsters applying for credit in your name and monitoring the Web for personal and financial details being sold, as well as details of any searches.
Over the last year, I have not applied for any credit, and do not anticipate doing so in the immediate future. I’ve had a couple of reports of my email address along with a password I have never had being available on the Web, one generic search by a bank with whom I have an account and searches by insurance providers around the time I was renewing my household insurance. I assume that as time passes since the data breach, the chances of a fraudster making use of my data recede. And nothing untoward has occurred over the last year.
The Experian product is now coming up to expiry and an annual subscription would be in the order of £130. In the light of the above, I am disinclined to continue with Identity Plus. Do forum members with more experience of Experian than me regard this as a worthwhile service?

Wellard _Mann. Your may have been misled. I believe that ID Plus only works with those creditors etc who use the Experian data base. There are another 2 Credit Ref Agencies (Equifax and TransUnion). Similar to CIFAS Protective Registration, which is applicable only to CIFAS members.
Look at Identity Plus and compare it with MyPAS
Read this: The Solution to Identity Fraud.
Ask yourself:
Which system is Proactive?
Which system protects me with all banks and creditors?
Which system provides a real time indication and warning of potential fraud to creditors?
Which system helps identify perpetrators?
Hope this may help and makes you think,.
