Shame that lots of 60s songs I can recite word for word but can't remember the word for, what's that thing called??? lol. Does anyone else listen to Boom Radio? Perfect for us oldies. It's on all the time I'm in the kitchen with me singing along with all the words correct!Rock cakes are cooling while I have a coffee. Not sure what else is on the cards for today, got to put a towel wash on later but after that the world's my oyster. Carrying on with a book I'm reading and a film comes to mind!Hope all the poorlies are feeling better. Have a good day x7

Morning all, I managed to sleep in my own bed last night and led down too, the first time for a week. I did have a a bout of coughing in the early hours though and then slept in late.
Mr Fix It is doing a financial projection for this year, blimey by the sound of it we'll have to get jobs ! Today the decorations will come down, there's not many left to do only the fireplace garland to wrestle into it's box, the tree and some little bits and bobs. The sun is shining but my it's cold, never satisfied am I ?
Dad's heating isn't working so there's a man going to look at it today and I'll find out the diagnosis later. He has several fan heaters to keep him warm for now.
I've been watching the old St Trinian's film (1954) gosh they don't make them like that any more. The school uniform looks like the one I had to wear, including the hat 😂
Gers glad you feel better today.
Snoozer I'm glad Steve is better too.
Florenceem hope the service goes well.
Hugs to the poorly ones and anyone having a tough time.
Take care all
nan xx

Back from the service - it was lovely - shocked that she was only a year older than me.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Afternoon everyone, I'm late but I've had little one since yesterday afternoon.
She's spent most of her time playing the keyboard I got her for her birthday - I've put stickers with numbers on on the keys so she can learn the songs in the song book. I don't know how many times I've heard Twinkle Twinkle! She played it, slowly but correctly, for DD when she picked her up - she was so pleased with herself. We went into town this morning, to see a new Disney film Wish at our local cinema, it was good and kept DD's interest for the whole hour and a half. I've put my name down to steward for a few films in January and February too. We then went to Costa for a hot chocolate and a cake which was very money saving as I had vouchers to use and then to the card shop for very cheap wrapping paper for next Christmas, which little one found really funny.
Thank you Taff on the soup advice - I think I just put too much of everything in really. I'm just going to make bacon, egg and hash browns, maybe some beans for tea as I've got nothing prepared and I'm feeling lazy now little one has gone. Then I'll get comfy and watch some TV - I've still got things recorded from Christmas.
It's been a dry and bright day here, so I've got a load of towels almost dried outside, they smell nice.
I hope everyone's had a good day today x8 -
I'm back from my trek and hair appointment. The drive really cheered me up as the scenery was so beautiful. On the way down the very low sun was directly in my eyes so it was a slow journey, on the way back the sea was such a fabulous blue right over to Arran. I stopped a few times to just look at it. Hair is coloured and cut, I hardly coughed and feel better. I've collected the ABs and will start tomorrow, promise.9

Glad you're feeling brighter @Gers and had a good trip out xx
Take it easy @snoozer x
Quick one from me. Was up with the birds (literally) to go to FC as we now open at 7.30am and there was a queue!! Had my eyebrows threaded and went to have my nails done - neutral colour which hopefully will last a bit longer or not look so dire if it chips. Went to Sevenoaks to buy work shoes for DH and grabbed a coffee/cake out too. Naughty but nice.
Picky bits from Christmas for us too @RedRuby1231 - cheese, crackers, quiche and pickles - nothing getting thrown away here!
Have a good evening all
