A saving of £40 a month on overdraft charges is good. Fingers crossed you get some 0% offers soon as that will help.
How do you keep track of your finances? Software or spreadsheet or a banking app?
We used to have the Santander 123 account before Starling and they did spending insights which helped me keep on budget.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. If anyones reading this, have barclaycard been offering any 0% deals out recently?
They told me they review them monthly but with my last loan just starting to appear on my credit report, the chances will get slimmer rather than better in the near future.0 -
Is it worth asking for CCAs from all my creditors? Do I continue to pay them whilst they spend time obtaining them?0
-
There is no harm in asking for CCAs but if you don't pay them you will get a default marked against you. Asking for the CCA does not suspend the account or anything. Normally you would ask for them if you haven't been paying anything towards the debt for a while. By paying them you are acknowledging the debt so I am not sure what advantage you would gain by asking for the agreement.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. The summary i've taken from it given my situation is if I plan to pay everything back, then having the debts sitting on my credit file even if the CCA can't be produced is not good. Similarly I'd also need to keep for three months until a CCA is found.0 -
I would say that given you want to continue paying and don't want defaults I don't think asking for them will help you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Yeah agreed, thanks.0

I've got my statement for my next set of overdraft charges and it's immediately been capped at £30 which is nice as I thought it would take a full month to kick in.1

Getting offers from the bad credit providers like Zopa, Aqua, Vanquis etc already. Only Zopa offering a balance transfer but it's only £600 so I won't bother. Heading in the right direction but I understand its far away from getting an offer with a company for a longer term 0% deal.0
