We went to Sal this time last year for 10 days and had a thoroughly nice time. We went with Tui but booked our hotel separately as Tui didn’t have the room category we wanted.
We spent most of our time lazing around the pool and beach and went into Sal a couple of times, lots of shops, bars and other hotels with places to eat, we liked it and would return. The weather was very pleasant during the day but cooled down a little in the evening, I added a wrap or a cardi/light jacket to help. Have a great time

Hi, can you tell me which island you went to, howuxh you paid and how you booked your hotel please

    Kind regards Mark
  • Sal is one of the Cape Verde islands - the lady travelled with TUI obviously - TUI also do hotel bookings separate from standard off the shelf packages, so that sounds like how the accommodation was selected.

    NoodleDoodleMan is right.

We booked TUI flights and booked the Melia Llana hotel separately because we wanted a particular room category/upgrade that Tui didnt offer within a package.
As for costs, I’m not exactly sure but maybe around 4k for two of us for 10 days. Even though we booked directly with the hotel and upgraded our room category, doing our booking the way we did meant it came out slightly cheaper than booking a package with Tui for the lesser room, if that makes sense!
