E-on Calculations

Following on from Martin's news about E-on's new Next Pledge Tracker Tariff I decided to have a closer look at it.
I completed E-on's form and put in my annual usage amount of 2776kw. When I clicked on 'See full tariff information' it opened a screen that contained the amount I would be charged per unit and per day, both of which included 5% VAT. However, the bottom line of how much it was going to cost me per annum, namely £963.50, did not contain the 5% VAT in spite of them saying that all the above figures did. The correct figure per annum with VAT should be around £1011.80.

Is this deliberate or mere incompetence? It is definitely misleading.
