Hi All, i received a parkingeye charge from Asda and i cant remember exactly what i did as it was end of aug 2023 but i basically paid the £40 as i acknowledged i was overdue my time parking.

The problem is i got another letter and assumed it was an overlay.  Then came the Debt letters.  I contacted the debt company and told them i paid (actually paid twice as my phone must've glitched).  the debt company are saying they wont help as they are needing to help their client by collecting the balance which is now £140.00.  My argument is that i paid this.  i showed them my bank statement and it shows the payments but the debt company replied saying i paid the wrong company.  I asked how thats possible as i entered the reference given by ParkingEye?  They said they dont know but i havent paid. 

 I looked up www.pay-to-park.co.uk Surrey which is on my direct Debit and this shows "This Account has been suspended. Contact your hosting provider for more information."

Does anyone know what this means?  Ive paid £40 x 2 to this company with their reference - ive only had 1 letter for Asda parking - i dont make a habit of going to Asda as i shop elsewhere but on this occasion i was with my mum who lives close and we had a day, coffee, breakfast, shopping etc. so i know i havent had 2 tickets issued as i dont usually shop that long.  Id appreciate any help please.  I did contact Pay to park at one stage a few days later to tell them i paid twice and they refunded me for 1 but still i need to know who ive paid and how i managed to pay a fine which wasnt even real.  OR were they part of Parking eye?? or a scam?? PLEASE HELP as i need evidence for this DCBL Debt company taking me to court

Debt collectors cannot take you to court, only the PPC can; you state ParkingEye, is that right? Have you complained to ASDA? 

but still i need to know who ive paid 

I would have thought that your bank was the place to start for this

Anyway stop ringing debt collectors.  You will not be paying £140 or anything.

I honestly am not a stupid person but i cant remember how i managed to pay a different company or even how the reference number was used to let me pay a different company.  Ive gone to Resolver about this now.

The comapny is a parking company - somehow i paid a different company - no idea how! i mustve been having one of those days! yes it is Parking Eye.  Asda tried to help but ParkingEye refused to let it go.

Oh no.  Please stop.

Please don't use useless Resolver who have no clue about parking cases.  You don't write to debt collectors.
