Anyway I can get my car insurance lowered?

I could get a car on finance however my insurance would be around £240pm. That too with an up front cost.
I had six cars collide into me in the snow last December which wasn't my fault and I made a claim.
I also had a no fault accident the summer that year.
Maybe all of these add up.
My insurance previously was around £120 pm.
Is there anyway I can get my insurance lowered?

Having multiple accidents even if non fault will have an effect on your perceived risk, but there are many factors which you give no clue of.
Current vehicle to new vehicle
Age and experience of driver
Number of years no claims
Occupation of drivers
Any additional drivers and their history
Where car is kept (street, driveway, garage)
Number of miles driven a year
Some of those you can influence, others you can't.

If you are only driving 3000 miles a year I’m not sure it makes financial sense to buy or own a car.0

How can you have got quotes if you do not know how many years NCD you have. What did you put into the comparison sites?
3000 miles is low and will actually increase your risk, try 6000
Your age shouldn't be an issue and adding additional drivers may not make much of a difference. Although if your history has multiple claims on it, adding an additional drive like a partner or parent if they have a clean history may help.
You are still drip feeding information though. What car is insured for £120pm and what car are you getting quotes for at £240pm0 -
If that was 6 separate collisions then that should have been treated as 6 separate claims which would make it very difficult for you to buy insurance even if they were all non-fault. Add to that you have a brand new to you car, I'd be very happy that premiums only doubled when most peoples have gone up 50% without any changes.0

I have no years of no claims discount as per the information given by the previous insurer.
I may add my father.
I did have a fault accident alongside the other Dec claim.
I save £900 per month.
Would you say £350pm for insurance and car finance taken out of that is not a big deal?
I'm still left with £550pm disposable income.

I put my father as the main driver.
And £100 excess
For a £8.3k car, still £240pm.
Maybe it depends on the price.0 -

Be careful if you are the owner of the car and are in fact the main driver that is what should be declared for any insurance, putting your father as the main driver to get cheaper insurance is called 'fronting' and you could find the insurance cancelled and the cost to get any insurance in the future exorbitant.Greg89 said:

You add lower risk people as additional drivers, not the main driver. I assume you put your father as the main driver to compare the price?
You haven't said what the old and new cars are. If you were going from a low risk car to a higher risk then of course it will be more expensive.
You keep drip feeding information which means you get partial answers and guesses.0
