  • I haven’t been on for a while as having a really tough time of it and twice when I have been on I started a message and then it disappeared and just didn’t have the energy to start again.

I realised I had another 2 debts which weren’t on my statement and that is Next and Very so I have now added them to my signature - how depressing!!!!!!!!!!

A family member is unwell and has been in hospital a few weeks now and so any spare time has been at the hospital - been feeling very tired as a result and also increasing the spend for the month with the fuel costs and parking fees for travelling to and from hospital.

This week I got a payment of £10.58 from TopCashBack and a refund of £1.45 from Asda and I have paid these amounts to my biggest credit card debt. In regards to credit cards, I am currently not eligible for any 0% or low rate credit cards but will keep under review.

The internet cost in my statement also includes land line phone and tv package and changed provider last year, saving over £50 per month. I am going to look to see if I can get rid of the landline to save costs. Will look to see what else I might be able to reduce.

  • Sold some clothes on vinted this week - not huge amounts but once payment received I will pay it straight against credit card. Got quite a few clothes to sort out and list too which I just need to find time to do.

Have had a few enquiries about my wax melts which I make and sell and so hopefully that will result in a sale or two and I have booked a table at a few spring fairs to sell my wax melts and also other makes.

As others have mentioned an emergency fund is a really good idea. If you could save £500 just in case the brown stuff hits the fan it could help you to not turn to the credit card. I’d suggest any sales goes towards that. Once the target figure is reached it can go towards debt.

  • Thanks @lucielle that does make sense - will try to save more to create an emergency fund.
