What about thiings to help her keep warm, a hat of some sort, some quesy pops (special lollipops for people going through chemo), some beuaty products or a voucher for a beauty treatment to help her feel good about herself and can be used at a later date, a little photo album of all the people/thiings that are very important to her, something that will provide some laughs, maybe some books or dvds?
I have just googled them and they sound great, but can't find any UK suppliers other than one site that promotes them for morning sickness in pregnancy. Do you know where I can get these queasy pops?0 -

Hiya, the morning sickness ones are pretty much the same as the chemo one they are just different flavours (so your mum might prefer the morning sickness ones or the nausea ones). My friend brought some for me, she got them from an american site and postage wasn't too much. I have brought the morning sickness ones from here before in the uk but they sell different ones http://www.purpleturtle.co.uk/acatalog/Queasy_Pops___Queasy_Drops.htmlBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

I'm having my last chemo session on Thursday all being well. Good presents would have been:
- Fingerless gloves and a mini hot water bottle you need nice warm veins on your hand so that the nurse can find the vein for your canula
- Boiled Sweets You get a funny taste during chemo and a very dry mouth afterwards.
- Nice cordials You have to drink lots and I got bored of every cordial out there
- Body moisturiser and hand cream very dry skin is another side effect
- Lip balm cracked lips
- Comfy socks and slippers & Pyjamas just in case you have to go into hospital
- A good book lots of quiet time
- A Project Cross stitch, knitting or crochet something to do when you're feeling well enough to do something but nothing too taxing
- A tin of pineapple Pineapple is really refreshing when you've been sick and your mouth is sore and has a wierd taste.

I forgot to mention that all ladies who are diagnosed with cancer can attend a free beauty workshop through Look Good Feel Better. You go along to a session with other ladies and beauty counter make up ladies do a two hour demonstration and give you tips on how to apply your make up. You get a goody bag of top brand make up, cleansers and moisturisers and it's a real boost. You can ask at hospital or google them, they have a good website.
You can go before, during or after chemo. I went before so I still had brows and eyelashes but they do explain how to draw them back on and enhance your eyes etc. The products are fab, Clinique, Clarins, Elizabeth Arden, as well as Boots, Rimmel and Revlon stuff. I reckon there was around £250 worth.0
