Ok: the one mentioned in the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread, so we don't need to see that or the DQ letter.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, even though I received a prior acknowledgement of receipt of my defense, I received a letter today claiming that the documents have not been found :

            Dear all,
I have now received a Notice of Trial date at the county court in High Wycombe on the 28 November 2024.
I would be very grateful for any advice in order to be best prepared for the court date. Also, interestingly, I received a few days later, a letter from Civil enforcement saying that they are willing to settle the claim for £135.
I have of course no intention to do so and I want to expose this company to the court. My only annoyance is that I need to take time off work. Can I make a counter claim for costs ?Many thanks0

It's not a counterclaim.Costs, WS & evidence recommendations are covered in the Newbies thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, I had my day in court earlier this morning in High Wycombe and I am sorry to say that I lost comprehensively against CEL today. I don’t know if I was unlucky with that county court judge but he didn’t particularly like my Defence statement saying that it had many points in it but according to him mostly irrelevant.
He also didn’t think that the claimant claims for cost were unreasonable and consequently awarded them with a total of £262.5.
I started getting a bit nervous when the CEL representative started asking the judge for a finding of unreasonable conduct to which the judge quickly shut him down considering that I came here today.
So for me, personally, an interesting experience but one for the statistic I guess. CEL didn’t bite the dust today !
Thank you for everyone who have helped through the process.3
