Balance Transfer Card - Tesco to HSBC?

Could anyone advise please if it is possible to transfer a credit card balance from Tesco to HSBC?
The balance transfer offer on HSBC stipulates that you cannot transfer from another HSBC account however I can't find any reference as to which bank Tesco comes under. But there is a mention of HSBC on the paying in slip at the bottom of the Tesco statement
Does anyone know if a transfer from Tesco to HSBC would be allowed please?

Tesco bank was formerly a joint venture between Tesco and Royal Bank of Scotland but is now owned entirely by Tesco, although I think they still make use of RBOS for some banking facilities. So there is no connection with HSBC and there should be no problems with a balance transfer.1

As above, Tesco Bank has for many years now been a standalone entity as far as balance transfers are concerned. You can transfer balances from Tesco Bank anywhere (other than Tesco Bank), and vice versa.1
