Metro Bank Savings Account

I tried to open a Metro Bank Instant Access Savings Account online. I photo'd my driving licence and took a selfie as requested. I was continually asked to resubmit my name and address both of which were correct. I eventually got a message to say it was not possible to open an account and no reason could be given. I rang the number given and was told they couldn't tell me why I couldn't open an account but it could be due to a credit check. I said this can not be the case so I asked for help in opening an account as there is no Metro Bank anywhere near. I was told this was not possible nor could I pass on my concerns in case others have the same problem. I was told this could not be done either. Not impressed.
