Brand New Xmas PS3 Broken

Bought my hubby ps3 for xmas and think it is knackered. Tried to put in cod4 and came up updating and then error message and wont do anything when put in blu ray or game. Looked on ps3 forum and think that it might be faulty as seems be common problem. Called sony helpline and just told us to take it back to shop. Has anyone else had same problems. I bought it from Gamestation online. do you think I would be able to take back to a Gamestation shop as dont want to have to wait to get it picked up and new one sent if broken.

According to the gamestation website you can return stuff to stores, most companies now offer this option.

As for the problem you have had. System updates can go wrong and when they do can leave the console useless. It happend to me a few weeks ago updateing an iPhone for a mate it failed and locked up leaveing the phone in an endless reboot and never getting in to the software.

Just return it to a store, you have 28 days to do it from delivery just take everything that was part of the package/bundle you bought, you never know they may have beter or cheaper deals on you return it for a refund and buy another. maybe an option if you want to?
