And as for asking my local advice charity, well what do you think I am doing here - is this not an "advice charity"?Not at all. Members post here freely in their own spare time. I have to agree with Alice here and you do come across as very unfriendly. Many members have already given you advice but you continue to ignore most of it.If you continue this way then forumites may refuse to advise you further.4 -
I'll offer one piece of advice which you are of course free to take or leave - don't ask them for advice as that's not what they're there for; at best they're useless, at worst they'll give incorrect advice. Your council HB dept might be a bit more reliable than DWP or HMRC though, to be fair.GeezaJoab said:you really want to split hairs over what sort of advice platform this is?

I'll see what our lovely government departments say going forward
Which is why you've been advised to seek help from an advice charity, who will have advisers you can speak to in person and who can go through exactly what your situation is, what you need to do, and can help you deal with any possible fallout if you've not reported earnings quickly enough (no judgement, I genuinely don't know what Housing Benefit's requirements are there, how quickly you're expected to let them know).
Nobody was splitting hairs about the type of site this is until you brought it up, although it's probably a good thing because now it's cleared up any misunderstanding
