Thanks oldwind, we moved recently and have the same boiler, 2 years old and I was wondering why we got the hot-cold-hot cycle from the taps. What settings doyou use for hot water and radiator temps?0

Hot water setting 55c
Central heating 60c
When boiler is heating rads from cold it soon reaches 60c especially when the thermostat is set a couple of degrees above current room temperature.
When hot water needed the on off on trick works well if the off part is 3 to 4 seconds.
When the room temp. approaches set temp. of thermostat the boiler will modulate reducing water temperature.
This will increase the time for the off part when performing on off on trick.
Viewing boiler display may help.
I’m sure this saves water as well.0 -
Can’t wait for spring/summertime, boiler habits not needed.
Hopefully!0 -
knightstyle, those settings are in reply to you. Somehow missed off at the beginning. Grandad2b, I agree, turn down thermostat then hot water available for showering, turn up thermostat when everyone has finished their ablutions.0
