Yes, I think you can still get half price railcards and discounts on the Tesco delivery saver amongst 100's of other options.masonic said:
Yes, aware of that thanks. I can remember at some time in the past being able to buy train tickets via RedSpottedHanky with Clubcard vouchers which was very useful, but pickings have been slim for me beyond that.subjecttocontract said:
Hopefully you are aware that you don't have to spend the vouchers on groceries. Checking out the Tesco Clubcard web site will reveal other options.masonic said:RedImp_2 said:Maybe we I’m missing the point and I haven’t tried to check but you could probably buy what you get for £212 at Tesco for less than £200 at a cheaper supermarketIf you are selective in what you buy from Tesco you can avoid paying more, and the occasional item can be cheaper than elsewhere. I use Tesco occasionally for deliveries (I consider paying a £1.50 delivery charge worthwhile), use Aldi and Lidl for most of my spending, and Asda for a few things (particularly the world foods, and my local one is also good for yellow stickers). If you already intend to spend there, then the vouchers will represent a genuine saving. But I think it is a good point that vouchers can tempt people to be less selective in their spending unless they are disciplined. But I suspect talk of spending is not the topic of main concern to most of us adopters of the YBS Christmas saver, and we were just using it for interest.Indeed you can, but I don't qualify for a railcard myself and use the train when I am travelling alone. I also don't spend enough on deliveries to make delivery saver worth it. Don't get me wrong, I do check the offers when I get Clubcard vouchers, but it's been a long time since any of the 100s of options were things I'd spend money on or I can get a better deal through another scheme.1 -
Hi does anyone know if you havent touched asda/sainsburys xmas cards since last year do you get this years bonus or do you need to move it to a new card?0

We top up the same Asda Xmas gift cards each year and, so far, have always received the bonus. Always spend the balance asap afterwards, to ensure that we get it back.davidian84 said:Hi does anyone know if you havent touched asda/sainsburys xmas cards since last year do you get this years bonus or do you need to move it to a new card?

As I understand it, yes. You get a bonus based on how much is on the card on deadline day. How and when the money was added to the card is irrelevant.

Please excuse me if this has been covered elsewhere - is it possible to use the ASDA card to purchase other gift cards available in the store, i.e. book tokens, IKEA vouchers etc.,£6000 in 20230

Unofficially - nothing stopped you doing this at self checkouts last time I checked a few months ago.I can't remember if that was before or after they changed all their backend away from Wal-Mart tho, that might have changed things.Do yourself a favour and try with a small low value gift card first, then try something bigger but stick to £100 or less per transaction otherwise you might end up getting stopped and checked (which is about preventing people getting scammed but nevertheless might raise eyebrows).1

Thanks for that - as you suggest, I'll try a low value transaction first to see if it works.WillPS said:brucefan_2 said:Please excuse me if this has been covered elsewhere - is it possible to use the ASDA card to purchase other gift cards available in the store, i.e. book tokens, IKEA vouchers etc.,Officially - no you can't.
