No fault accident and car insurance quote

If put in details of a recent no fault accident on the car insurance quote part of this site, do these details get transferred to the insurers who then provide the quote?  I got a quote via this site for nearly about £400 but when I put the same details directly into the insurers site the quote was over £900.  Help please.

    Yes the details get transferred.

Insurers sell different products, different defaults of optional extras, different pricing via different channels. Its normal for them to sell a cut down budget product with all optional extras declined via aggregators like this website and its parent MoneySupermarket but sell a fuller product potentially with some optional extras defaulted as included for customers who get a quote directly from their own website.
