Terms of Hyperjar £10 cashback offer

I was recently notified that I qualified for the MSE special offer with my new Hyperjar card (which was issued last month). The terms for the £10 cashback offer were described as:

"Buy a Cashback Voucher for over £20 and spend with Amazon using your HyperJar card by 7 January 2024"

I bought an Amazon voucher for £120, and used it to buy something on Amazon for £120, just after opening my account. Does the purchase of the voucher count as an Amazon purchase, for the purpose of the £10 cashback offer?

It's a tricky one. I didn't risk the Amazon voucher, got a Sainsburys one instead, we shop there anyway. 

Lets be honest, none of us know, it's going to be a case of wait and see. I transferred £3160 to the card today, then paid off my holiday, so a fair bit of cashback hopefully. However I wont know for sure until middle of March. I chatted with a Hyperjar agent who said all should be fine and I've kept the transcript of our chat however he didn't say it WILL be okay, just should be, so....

Another tip (I reckon). Although the offer is for 3 months, you might as well, if you can, buy everything you can in the first month, otherwise you'll just get 1.5% on the first £750 spend each month.

There was an issue for me when opening the account in the app, and I was not contacted within the 72 hour period as notified. This resulted in my being unable to complete the steps necessary to qualify for the £10 cashback by the 7 January deadline. I had a moan in the in-app chat, at the end of which I asked for a complaint to be raised.

Today I have been advised that they will honour the MSE offer, and that a goodwill payment of £10 will be made on completion of the conditions. I duly bought a £20 Amazon gift card in the app, which has now been added to my Amazon gift cards total, and ordered a Giff Gaff SIM card costing 19p from Amazon, paid for with my physical Hyperjar card.

I have notified Hyperjar of my belief that I have now complied with all their requirements, and hope to receive the £10 in the near future.
