So Energy - final bill refund not received

I've been having nothing but trouble getting a refund from So Energy.

After delays getting a final bill, I was finally issued a bill on 7/12/23 that stated the refund should be with me by 5 pm on 20/12/23.  Needless to say, this did not happen and I'm still chasing it.

So Energy has no claims that they had until 21/12/23 to start processing the refund and so compensation for late payment is not due.  Furthermore, because the refund wasn't made from their bank until 27/12/23 the funds should still be on their way.

At this rate, it will be a month to the day of receiving my final bill that refund is expected in my bank.  Ofgem rules state that this should have been within 10 working days.
