3rd paragraph. there, is key to avoiding any slowness of payment.
I always allow 5 working days, anything less than that is clearly going to incur delays/defaults/etc.
OP et al .... don't leave it short/close to the due date.0 -
I paid my credit card bill on 16 December with payment being taken on 18 December (16 December was a Saturday). I didnt really think anymore of as Ive done everything 100% right.
Received a cruddy text message on 1 January reminding me to make the minimum payment. Rang their useless customer services and was patronised by an Indian call centre employee with an appalling grasp of basic English. Hung up after she refused to let me speak to her manager as she couldn't even grasp what I was asking of her. Complained last night via another telephone call to the GB based (not that that makes any difference as concerns customer help) complaints team who it turns out only take details and pass it to backroom staff. Ive been told to produce a bank statement even though the payment is showing on HSBC's system! And it'll take up two months to resolve my complaint about the disputed payment!
I swear Im closing this account down once I clear the outstanding balance. Nightmare and Im a new credit cwrd customer.0
