Amazon Photos app question

I don't subscribe to Amazon Prime and I use Google Photos as my photos app but I'd quite like to put some photos on my Echo Show.
So I downloaded the Amazon Photos app and tapped on manual upload but it only seems to let me upload photos that go back to 11th November. I just wondered if anyone knows why this is?
