Do i need my electric system recertified to take in a lodger?

Thanks for the previous advices.
The selected lodger at the last minute (after 2 weeks that we had already talked about it) wanted to install a lock on the door, but I insisted that it's definitely not an option.
Now fortunately canddiates are happy with the no-locks condition. I've even put it in writing in the license agreement.
If a cohabitation is based on distrust from the begining it's better that it doesn't start at all. What's most annoying is seeing lodgers trying to set conditions, and ever before moving in.0 -

And even if I did fit a lock, guess who would have the spare key....
