But how do you know that things like that are genuine from a chaza shop? Just cos they say it is Hermes……do they get things authenticated? Tis a lotta dosh when there are super fakes around that even the experts cannot tell apart from the proper ‘Designer’ items!!Brie said:

The charity shop were adamant that it was genuine and kept saying "it's been authenticated!!" For me, not knowing (or caring) much of anything about Gucci I just bought it on the look and the feel. It was beautiful and the material was obviously silk and of good quality (having bought a lot of cheap silk scarves!!). So that was fine for £30 even though that was nearly 10 times what I would normally pay for one. And it was near my birthday and Christmas and my MiL had asked me to take £30 from her bank account to buy myself a present. Seemed ideal!!!Miró said:
