Maybe someone already has a fix for it!
Mine would be for someone to invent something to REALLY clean an iron plate after something got burnt, I have tried so many things and nothing helps.

Something to tidy up after someone that doesn't tidy up after themselves......(of course dear, I'm not looking at you! and don't worry I'll pick up all the flour, crumbs, onion skin that has fallen on the kitchen floor.....)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Something that would solve damp/black mold. I am thinking about getting a fan in my bathroom, just a matter of what would trigger the fan to switch on.A motion detection device perhaps.5

For the latter I suppose a robot vacuum cleaner wouldn't be very MSE. (But I want one, I want one...)
For the former? Well:- My ex had a real, heavy duty submariner's jumper, which needed handwashing. It was cream and extremely heavy when wet. It was constantly left on the floor, despite polite requests not to do this and explanations as to why. One day I didn't pick it up. I left a bright pink note on it saying "The next time this gets dirty, YOU'RE ****** well washing it!" (Saying "If this gets trodden on, don't come crying to me" after several polite requests to teenaged son also had a result).
- Hypnotherapy to train you to steel yourself just to do your own stuff and leave theirs?
- Some sort of surveillance device programmed to yell "Oi! You! Pick that up!!" every time something gets left. (Hm. Could possibly do with one of those for myself!)

@basketcase - the robot works best if you have very little furniture / get everything off the floor. It would be an abject failure in my home, circumnavigating piles of books etc.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
