Just opened the cava s cheers all! Opened all my pressies and not one i dont like! Gorgeous silver & emeraldy earings that match my earrings, a funky watch that you can change the silk straps on - very funky a gorgeous face so may get a leather strap so that can wear it ever day! Lovely cooking stuff from mum (two pot mixing bowls that I wanted, nice cutters & small puddings basins to make posh puds with) ...gorgeous escada perfume and my garmin watch! I am a spoiled bunny!! People arriving for lunch any mo so will pop back later! Cheers all!

enjoy your parsnips spud.
they smelled like shoe polish before you cooked them? were there fresh whole, or pre prepared? How long since you bought them?
If they are ready sliced ones, the preservative can make them smell a little different before cooking.
They'll probably be ok. Cook them, taste a little and see.

My little 3 year olds face was a picture when she saw that santa had eat the mince pie, and drank the pint of cider she left him ! She proceeded to open all her 35 presents , took 2hours ! Then spent rest of morning kicking a bollun about and scribling on paper ! Merry Christmas !

I'm at work at the moment, here till 5pm when I go home to finally stuff my face and open a large bottle.
I was hoping everyone here would be full of festive cheer ( a residential home for adults with learning disabilities), but they all stayed up partying last night, and are in their rooms, so I am seriously bored.
Can't even play with my new camera, coz it didn't occur to anyone to charge the battery before wrapping it up.

Might have to start annoying people with Christmas cheer in a bit - after all that's what it's all about.

Daff - They are fresh, bought on Saturday. DH said it was shoe polish, I thought it was slightly aniseedy

ooooh, pressies are still to be unwrapped!!!!

Just been to see my doggy (I know, but he does know it's Christmas Day!!! ) and he was over the moon with his turkey flavoured treats, bacon scented bubble blower and big new tug! Good job Ihaven't got children in one respect, I'd probably really spoil them at Christmas

I've started on a Terry's chocolate orange but it's quite sweet so probably best not to have much more!!

The food is all ready to go in the oven. The turkey crown I had delivered is HUGE and only fits in the roasting tin on the diagonal!!!

OH should be back soon.
