Hi, I'm applying for confirmation in Scotland and I wondered if anyone knew if you had to provide copies of the original will and codicils or if copies are sufficient?

Assuming you have them, the original will and original codicil need to be submitted (and docquetted.)

I had assumed that you are applying direct to the court and that this was an excepted estate. (Originals would not be suppled to HMRC).

Yes, its an excepted estate, straight to the court..
