Morning All
My visitors have gone out for a while so I'm having some time to myself. The weather has been absolutely awful but the sun is shining at the moment. Washing in the machine and I've hoovered round.
Left overs have been put out for the birds although there was a cat eating the sausages earlier! I've put some ham and turkey in the freezer for another day.
Friends coming round later for a risotto so must remember to buy prawns, I'm going for a walk to the bottle bank to get some fresh air.
Will catch up with all your news soon, take care. XX8 -
Good morning everyone , grey and dull here.
Glad you are feeling better GERS and other poorly ones. Like Silver not much to report. Made a mushroom ,ham and pasta bake with left overs last night. Absolutely delicious and a portion put in freezer. Just put a stew in SC for today and off to my neighbours to iron shirts! They are very good to me and would always fetch shopping in emergency ( although I try not to ask) but they just cannot iron shirts . I quite like it, it's a warm house with pets !
Silver oldie ,I am going to try and follow your example and start walking. Rather lost motivation for walking alone after I had a bad fall. Ended up on my face on the pavement . But must get over it. Let me know how you get on SO.
Have a lovely day everyone.10 -

Our finest gifts we bring pa-rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King pa-rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum
So to honor Him pa-rum pum pum pum
When we come。❅*⋆⍋*∞*。*∞*⍋⋆*❅。Well golly gosh, it's afternoon and I've just had breakfast but then, rubbish night etc until I finally fell alseep..Still rubbish, it must be a cold though because I'm still eating. I tell you, if I ever stop eating, that'll be when I'm really ill, otherwise, it can't be that badAnd liquid intake is fine otherwise I wouldn't be able to produce so much Guinness World record amounts of snot...tmi?
I fiddled with the fridge yesterday and it seems ot be a few degrees above freezing now so hopefully things, like cheese [omg cheese!!!] will defrost and be edible. Nothing planned for today, more tv, although OH may go out tonight, I'd have liked to have gone but can't, grrr! We keep making plans to meet up with someone we used to work with and something always goes wrong. It's been like this for over a year...I will shoo OH out the door to ensure at least he sees him this time. And I made a chilli with the beef that got frozen and the leftover gravy, roast carrots. No waste here...[except the trifle, OH has given it a go but it's gone all texture starange so it may be one for the foxes]
Silver Oldie, Wimbledon Womble, enjoy your walks out. I find if I approach people, smile and say hello, they invariably do it back, and if you praise a persons dog? Friend for life! camelot, enjoy the respite, it's nice to see people, but it's nice to be alone tooGers, I think my sisters lurgy lasted about that too, it's just that time of year, fingers crossed it's gone for first footing! TA, the freezer can always wait, have a relax and indulge a little. Izzy, nice to see you enjoying some time off! WL, I did have a laugh at imagining Gers covering Scotland, it would be an even more hospitable place
Rosy, glad you're having a pottering time too instead of the mad rush it usually seems ot be
Right, I'm orf to do more snotting, hang in there everyone, it's nearly Interminable January! Take care no matter what your situation, be nice ot yourself, say nice things to yourself...

Afternoon all.
Another here who is battling to be rid of some kind of lurgy now on it's 7th day. I can finally breathe now which makes a difference! Also managed a walk with Barney dog as it's not windy - surprisingly few people were about.
Wimbledonwomble - if you don't already, do look at walking poles. They're light and usually telescopic for easy storage and might just give you a bit more confidence to walk.
HM lamb tagine pulled from the freezer as I cba to cook today - it can heat through in the slow cooker while DF takes DM to the hospital for treatment.
I've just finished my last Christmas 'thank you' email which has taken longer than usual due to not feeling 100%.
This afternoon will be planning some craft makes for Mother's Day and Easter (I have an online craft shop and also do fairs) and/or setting up the mitre saw which I had for Christmas (to make some of said crafts).
Hope everyone enjoys the day before the next storm hits some tomorrow.

Late today ,
it was dry and sunny for a whole hour first thing ,now pouring grey and getting colder .
not much to report ,only half of son’s family came yesterday as the dog was unwell .
S O have you tried joining something
WI or U3A comes to mind ?
I don’t do very well on my home alone either and having forced myself out feel better for it
WI seems a bit expensive @ £46 / year but my lot are friendly
U3A has been my lifesaver ,my local group is very big and £12/yr gives me access to the main monthly meeting ,always has an interesting speaker and free tea and biscuits ,you can join as many interest groups as you like ,usually 50p-£1.50 each time you go (just to cover meeting place costs .I think the name is misleading as it’s a wide range of retired people from all walks of life .
I do realise how frightening it is ,but it might help .

Suffolksue thank you for the suggestions.
I have anxiety, and even going out can be a problem. Not sure how I would cope with meeting a lot of people but thank youIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.8 -
Just a quick pop in to say hello. I don't think I've been on since Christmas Eve...I did start catching up but have only got as far as Boxing Day. We had a lovely Christmas Day at my mam and dads and then at my brothers. Little one was on the phone early telling me Santa had been - she was most excited by the letter he'd left her,, apologising for dropping her new dolls pram outside great grans house because it was so windy - DD had left in great grans garage and only missed it when she was being Santa! Little one was like a ball of excitement when she came into my mams on Christmas Day. I haven't seen her much this week but she's coming up soon for a sleepover. My Christmas present from eldest DD was a trip to a spa in Edinburgh - we went yesterday and had a lovely day - it was very relaxing.
Hope everyone's ok x
