Curious problem since Chrome update

I included this in another thread (on a different subject) and 'Newcad' replied, saying it might just get fixed after a while and try running Malwarebytes in the meantime. Well I've done that and the problem is still there. No problems found by Malwarebytes.

When I close down my win 10 laptop and then start it up again and launch Chrome, the previous sessions tabs all appear. However, since a recent update, the tab contents all remain blank (the content window is white), even if I go along and refresh each tab. If I open a new tab, it correctly shows the content (Google search) but all the others remain blank.

Then, if I click on a new feature provided in the latest update - a tab on the left hand of all the others called 'Search tabs', suddenly all the tab contents appear. Well, the content of the last tab I selected appears and when I look at the others, the content is there for those too.

So I know how to get around this but just wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there's some sort of fix.

You will probably find it's the update at fault and it has a bug that causes this, unfortunately very common for updates to break things

Are you able to roll back to the previous version and wait for the next update?

Actually, I turned off my Laptop last night after posting and this morning everything is back to normal! My current Chrome version is Version 120.0.6099.130 (Official Build) (64-bit). Maybe it got fixed?

I can't see how to roll back, not obvious in settings.

I'll monitor it for now. Thanks.

Good to hear that it's now working as it should for you.
It is highly likely that it was a bug in the previous Chrome update which has now been fixed with another update.
Version 120.0.6099.130 was released on 20th Dec, but may have taken a week to rollout to your machine.
