Open University and NUS card - where do they send it??!

Happy Christmas everyone!
I've got an email this morning to say that the NUS will not be sending the discount card to my home address, but instead will send it to the university student union to ensure that I am indeed a student.
The University I am with is the Open University. The OU Student Association is in Milton Keynes. Is that where my NUS Extra card will be sent. How do I get it from them - do I have to pick it up in person, send a stamp addressed envelope or something else?
I'm keen to get the card as soon as possible as I need to buy an annual bus ticket and the NUS card could save me 100 pounds!
I hope someone can help me please and I do apologise if this is a really silly question with a blatantly obvious answer that I'm too stupid to notice
Thanks in advance for any help.

I got the same email, but the card came directly to my house so far as I know, if not it must have been quickly forwarded on by the OU
Happy Christmas!

Hi
I'm also with the OU, doing a post-grad course... I never thought of getting a NUS card, but must admit it could come in handy MSE-style! Did you have to order/request one? I haven't been sent one automatically so don;t know if it's because I'm not undergraduate anymore? Can post-grads still get one? I can't find the info on the OU website so would appreciate any insider knowledge you may have!!!

I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

The best thing about the OU student card for me is the 10% on books and CD's with Amazon. It doesn't take long to recoup the cost of the card. Look on the NUS site once you have your card and can get in to collect the code.

Hi,
I agree the NUS card is a good deal, however if you look at the NUS Extra site:
http://www.nusextra.co.uk/
You actually only get 5% off at Amazon. What's more, the offer expired 31st October 2007! I tried to use it today and it just comes up with "This offer has already been redeemed. Please enter another claim code or leave this field blank."
The terms and conditions of the Amazon offer can be found here, which states the expiry date:
