Eighteen months ago I invested some spare funds into a BD medium risk fund, via a financial advisor and taking his advice regarding risk level, investment company etc. It was my first foray into investments other than BTL property, so I am very green. The money was from my limited company (120k) and I topped it up recently…

Update on this. After a very small drop in value over the first six months, over the following twelve the total invested is sitting at plus 10 percent, so I’m happy with that.
I will add another top up (10 percent of original investment) if I have sufficient funds, and see how it carries on.
I’ll leave it there long term hopefully.
