Junior Fixed cash ISA

Do fixed term cash ISA exist for children? I have never found them and wondered if they exist for children Thank you.

They are very odd products - they are all fixed until child's maturity - age of 18.

You can always open personal ISA, open Premium Bond for a child - that way you get the possibility of accessing money earlier - after a year etc.

I'd imagine that the OP knows that access to the assets in the account (s) is not permitted until the holder reaches age 18.

I think the question relates to the existence of a fixed interest rate cash JISA.

Yes I was after a fixed interest rate Junior cash ISA. It may not exist as I could not find one. I was guessing that the fixed interest rate may offer a higher interest rate than non fixed

Should the child be 16 or 17, currently adult cash ISAs (including fixed offerings) are an option (Virgin Money, Leeds BS and others). I don't recall seeing fixed-rate cash JISAs.

Unfortunately, Junior Cash ISAs always have a variable interest rate.

If you're wanting to fix the rate in an ISA for a certain period of time, then your only option is to save in an adult cash ISA, using your own ISA allowance.
