Minimal activity on my current account. Is this a problem?

I pay all my day to day expenses on a credit card, whether I'm at the supermarket or the pub or anywhere, all on the credit card.
This means my current account has very little activity. Salary goes in, savings go out, credit card gets paid and the remainder just direct debits down to zero.
Some jobs require people to examine bank statements to work out certain things, which are generated by activity on the account.
My bank statement will be very boring in comparison and I wonder if there is a scenario where that might be problem? Benefit claiming for instance.
I hope this is an interesting question.

I have a number of current accounts, most of them have very few transactions per month. One has a lot of transactions between itself, the others, and a large number of savings and investment accounts. None of my current accounts have much in the way of debit card transactions because, like you, I use a credit card where possible. I don't know anything about jobs which require bank statements to be shared, other than perhaps if claiming expenses (in which case a credit card statement would be used where that had been used for the spend). You might need to furnish bank statements when taking out a mortgage. For benefits, they would be more interested in savings being held.I've not really been concerned about what my bank statements might look like. My activity is all legitimate and I could explain it if required.5

Its not an issue and you are far from unique.5

That doesn't sound like a problem. It's pretty close to the way that I've been operating for donkeys' years.

That’s how we run ours. By about the 7th of each month the only amount remaining in the current account is about £75 buffer which we use for any cash withdrawals or to do a bank transfer to the window cleaner.
works for us and not caused any issues. We have run our finances this way for about 4 years.1 -
That is what I do. I also have some ad hoc Faster Payments coming and going in any out the same day, and a debit card payment every few months.

Well I guess I do. I have no idea what the circumstances would be but it made we wonder what impact a slightly abnormal (400ixl hope that helps) statement might have. Seems little so that's good.Hoenir said:
Are you expecting your activity to be scrutinised ?Delree said:

I have 9 current accounts with very little activity (money in, money out, some have 2 direct debits) and some credit cards for every day spending and some credit cards for stoozing. If I apply for a mortgage will they want statements for all current accounts? Or just the one that salary goes into? (I'll obviously pay off the stooze cards in advance)masonic said:You might need to furnish bank statements when taking out a mortgage.Debt Free: 01/01/2020

No, unfortunately it's not.
There's no scenario in which it would be a problem.2 -
They'll likely ask for your main account. If that doesn't give them a clear enough picture, they might ask for more.Jami74 said:
