Interested in peoples initial starting limits with HSBC cards of late for those who have applied, I know it may vary but gauging opinions and experiences

From several hundred pounds to several thousand pounds. How long is a piece of string? There are so many factors involved in deciding a credit limit, a number of people responding with 'I got £400' 'I got £4000' 'I got £40000' is meaningless without understanding their personal circumstances.

£6000.  But they've just "lost" my first repayment on a purchase I made in late November. Not impressed at all.

I got a credit card with them when I recently opened an account.  The application was straightforward, the credit limit good, 0% on purchases for an introductory period. No issues using or paying off the card.

I recently got a HSBC 0% purchase card, I asked for 8k and they gave it to me, no problems.... The timing chain snapped on my car engine and the repair bill estimate was between 2.5k to 8k.... After they opened it up to inspect it, it needed loads of bits replacing, the final bill came to £5800, 0% for 20months!
