Grant of confirmation - Death of Executor

Hi, I have studied and read through a lot of the very helpful posts and examples of completed C1 Forms on this site and thank all those who have contributed. The situation is that the Will names two executors, one of whom has died, leaving me as the sole executor. Would the following deceleration be suitable for the Form C1. The names / addresses etc have been anonymised.
That I am;
Helen Smith daughter of and executor nominate of the deceased conform to the will of the deceased dated 24 March 2015 which is produced herewith docquetted and signed by me as relative hereto. In said will deceased’s husband George Smith also then of 5 Church Street Anytown ABC 12 ZT was also appointed as an executor but has pre-deceased the deceased.
—————————-
Not sure about this but would there be any need to add something about the late executor’s death certificate in the above declaration or to docquet it. I do have the original in my possession.
Thanks

Para 2 of the declaration can be simpler such as.
That I am;
the daughter and executor nominate of the said deceased conform to the will dated 24 March 2015 which is produced herewith, docquetted and signed by me as relative hereto. In said will the said deceased’s husband George Smith is also appointed executor but he predeceased the said deceased.
- No need to reference death certificate etc.
- This assumes that you were appointed in the will as co-executor rather than a substitute.
- This assumes that there are no differences between your mother’s name and last address and what is stated in the will, and that there are no differences between your name and address as stated in the will.
- In para 3 there is an option for choosing ‘executor’ or ‘executrix’. This should be consistent with the para 2 entry.
