Afternoon all...Much food consumed yesterday, the plan was to do exactly that again with some friends but a sore and scratchy throat has blossomed into something else so I'm sitting on the sofa, napping and watching rubbish and playing games..I might get the slicer out just to slice the beef ready for the freezer, it seems I can't stay out of the kitchen
I'm sorry some of you had a rubbish day eysterday, these occasions do make you feel worse because we're all seduced by the general view that everyone else is having a fabulous time of it with family galore and perfect Chirstmases. Not true in the slightest...It's a shame I can't sort the logisitcs of a street party out for next year, because I know there are a few people in this street who are alone, I reckon that'd be fun. Anyone who can think of a solution, please share...But I am also glad soem of you did have a nice time, cherish them while they're here

A late entry for me. Some tidying and cleaning today while DM (83) was having a blood transfusion - fortunately roads were very quiet at 8am. Dropped into Morries and picked up some reduced price tea cakes, mange touts and a chicken.Leftover gammon and salad for dinner which was tasty and quick.Happy Boxing Day
