Online probate application - supporting evidence

Hi, any clues as to how/whether paper copies/originals of supporting probate documentation e.g. wills/death certs etc are linked up to an online probate application. Obviously would prefer to do an online application given that these appear to be processed more speedily, but concerned over how supporting documentation needs to be treated.

The online application will guide you through the process. It is pretty straight forward for most estates. No need to send death certificate but I recall you may need to enter a number off one of the certificates. I have recollection that all executors will need to do an online identity check but I could be remembering something else. The only thing you should need to send in the post is the original copy of the will, after you have done the online application as it provides you with a cover sheet.

As Jowwie says, the final stages of the online probate application process are to make the payment and you get told what documents you need to send, the address to which to send them and a reference number to include on a cover sheet0
