Christmas Card Etiquette

I love the Christmas Cards that I do still get and respect everyone’s right to do as they wish. I enjoy cutting out pictures to make gift tags for prezzies with all the bits of ribbon I get through the year and save some cash this way towards postage.0

I posted just 3 this year, the rest will be distributed by hand but I am now wondering what the point is given that it is routine to communicate with people electronically.
I was reading a book recently that reminded me of Christmas in the 70s and 80s - very analogue with HM paper chains, tinsel and less than perfect decorations brought out year after year. I'm not sure why decor needs to be so perfect these days, nor why trends need to change every year? There is an old-fashioned quaintness about Christmas of yesteryear that I am convinced youngsters today are missing out on.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0
