Bank acc details not being recognized despite good

Hello I have an issue which occurs yearly without fail and I am confused why it occurs to myself.
I have Santander current account and also Barclays current account, the issue occurs when I try to sign up to fixed savings accounts through martin lewis site.
The fixed savings accounts run their check to confirm my account number and sort code is verified or matched or good.... it always reports its not good but you can proceed or sometimes rejects me going further into the application process.
I tried the same details with another family member with their name, details and Barclays details and it always works 1st time.
I have no bad credit history, mortgage, loans or issues with any of my UK based accounts, I end up having to call and go through it manually to fix the issue which is a tedious at best.
Does anyone have any idea why my cards are being rejected so much?

You talk about current accounts before then ask why your cards are being rejected, I assume you do mean that you are entering your bank account sort code, account number and account holder and why are those Confirmation of Payee checks failing.
So on that basis, what happens if you do a check between your two current accounts, does that work?
Do these checks normally work when you enter them for other accounts and it's just these fixed accounts that fail?
Are they joint current accounts, in which case are you putting your name as the account holder or are you attempting to put both names in? I've a Santander current account and for that I just enter my name.
I've heard of issues for some overseas names where the system is storing their name in a different order than they are used to, could there be something like that for your name?
Finally, if all else fails have you attempted to contact Santander and/or Barclays to see what they have to say? Maybe raise a complaint if they can't explain why your details are failing.

This failed check only happens on the actual bank account number and bank sort code checks for santander or barclays accounts and only for when signing up for fixed savings accounts ie Tescos fixed 1 year savings account.
So the check just claims my bank account and sort code is unable to be verified properly.
So for example I tried to sign up to say Postal fixed savings 1 year, I enter my name, address etc then get to bank account number and bank sort code and a pop up appears saying we could not recognize or verify this persons account details....but the message says it maybe ok so you can try to proceed.
I get that with just about every fixed or savings account I try to sign up with and the details are 100% accurate, no mistyping of numbers etc otherwise I would be sending money at a loss:)
I will contact the banks customer services and try to find out what is going on.0 -
Is it anything to do with when Barclays changed sort codes, make sure you use the details in the app or your statement etc.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Can't verify - if it tells you that you can proceed at your own risk just do that.
Don't forget COP checks the account name as well as the sort code and account number. When applying for a savings account have you used exactly the same name as is used on your current account? No confusion between James, Jim, Jimmy? No apostrophes or hyphens misplaced and it's probably best to use just one of the named parties on a joint account.4 -
The banks operating the fixed savings accounts you open don't operate Confirmation of Payee.

If it’s a savings account you’ve just opened, it’s very unlikely that any immediate payment into that new account would pass CoP. It takes time for the new account details to be sync’d across the banking system, possibly up to a couple of days.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
