Wondering if anyone else had a smart meter installed and now the Solar Boost is heating the water permanently, regardless of generation. Suspect I'm going to end up with Octopus telling me it's the solar boost and vice versa. I have moved the clamp around to no avail

A smart meter should only measure energy usage.
I would consult whoever installed your system.0 -
When my smart meter was installed, the installer also changed the wiring that connects the output from my solar panel inverter to the house electricity supply. In doing this he moved the clamp measuring imported/exported power and put it back in the wrong place. I told him the readings were wrong but I had to put it back myself after he had left.Reed0

Seems likely that the CT has been put on backwards (they are direction-sensitive). The CT may have an arrow on it showing the direction. Refer to the manual for the Solar Boost to see which way it should fit. If it's on the wrong way around then it will heat the water all the time, as it will be sensing load as export.
