Hi I have received an email saying that I’ve won a best crossword competition. It says they have a new system for issuing payments: Prizes are claimable through our new Beneficiary Self-Management system with HSBC. Do you think this is genuine?
The email asks for me send my mobile number so they can do a two step authentication. What do you think? Anyone experienced this?

Thanks everyone - I've had an email to say I've won £100 in a Best magazine crossword comp.
I was a bit suspicious as the email says they don't have my mobile number in their records, but mobile number is a mandatory field on the entry form from what I remember...
But if it's worked for you all, I'll go ahead and claim my £100

Yes, thank you everyone for the advice and comments - I've also had a Hearst mags WEM in the last couple of days asking for a phone number for the HSBC payment process, if it hadn't been for this thread I would have been worried and might well have not responded!0
