Doesn't matter because nothing will happen.  It's UKCPS and as you've hopefully seen when you searched for threads about them, nothing happens.

Somehow, TRACE Enforcement group have been passed my wifes email address and have now started to send threatening emails regarding legal action. I have advised her to just ignore these.

But I wonder how they got her email address, UKCPS passed it on? Surely they should be sending letters not emails?

Correct. A letter of/before Claim and/or a court claim are the only things to which you should respond.

With regards to receiving emails, can you not block the address from which they are being sent? Mark them as junk/spam and report them as phishing

    Good evening,

We have now received a letter from Moorside Legal, which is marked "Letter of Claim" which gives us 30days to reply or a County court claim will be issued.

The reply form gives numerous different options, agree to the debt/disagree , i owe some but not all etc etc.

OK.  No questions then because you know how to respond to a LBC. And where to look!

I am going to email over the template in the newbies thread, sticky 2. With the relevant information on.

My wife is starting to panic regarding all this now, but as i've read Moorside seem to be new guys on the block trying it on.

Realistically what are the chances of this ending it with a County court claim?

It probably will but that's your only dispute resolution time.  That is when you win.

UKCPS are easy to beat and the Moorside claims seen so far are poorly pleaded.  No worries whatsoever and no CCJ risked.

    Good evening,

So we have now received a Claim form from the court which was issued 02 Jan 25, ( this was sent to our old address) I believe it is 14 days to reply, It is now passed this. So I'm confused as what to do.

My original email to Moorside legal stated that I requested:

    1. Am I to understand that the additional £70 represents what you lot dress up as a 'Debt Recovery' fee, and if so, is this nett or inclusive of VAT? If the latter, would you kindly explain why I am being asked to pay the operator’s VAT?

    2. With regard to the principal alleged PCN sum: Is this damages, or will it be pleaded as consideration for parking?

However, my wife did not inform me that they had replied asking for further information (previous address and car reg) So they did not answer these questions.
