I ordered something from Amazon on Sunday and another item from elsewhere on Monday. I paid an extra £19 for next day delivery for 2nd item. Both meant to be delivered by royal mail. Both received at Glasgow MC on Tue evening and at local MC Wed early am (within half hour of each other). Amazon one delivered by usual postmen (3 postmen in one van!!!) yesterday.
24 hour delivery meant to be delivered by 'agency staff as short staffed' (but they had 3 postmen in one van ...). It didn't arrive on Wed and was sent back to Glasgow MC.
It arrived again at local MC this morning. Meant to be delivered today but doubt it will. The guy at the counter gave the impression that packages from certain sources are getting priority.

I sent a package thru RM a while back, Live invert so paid for guaranteed next day by 1pm.
Parcel was delayed by a day, RM refunded me.
(Luckily invert arrived okay despite the delay)

Why keep repeating '3 postmen in one van'.
There is a reason for that, its called starbursting, the van goes to a central point then the men leave the van and each one delivers in a different direction then make their way back to the van to the next drop point. Saves taking 3 individual vehicles out and is a faster way to cover each postal area. It does not mean 3 go out for a ride while only one delivers.7 -

They weren't delivering letters, it was parcels. One was delivering while other 2 stayed in van. That was at our section of street so don't know what they did on other streets0
