Local Seat Garage has closed, I’m expected to drive 90 miles to the next closest.

OP said "The service plan is sold under VW group financial services.", so his contract seems to be with them rather than the dealership.Okell said:@KMcCormack
Why is your local garage closing?
I'd have thought that they were in breach of contract if they can't do the servicing etc. Unless they've gone bust I'd be demanding a refund in respect of services you've paid for that they are not now going to provide.
You should be entitled to a full or partial refund depending on how much of the contract (if any) they have performed

Had nothing but problems with my frist 5 year service plan with Peugeot. It came with AA everything including europe.Peugeot switched to the RAC, but not my policy.Off to the financial ombudsman.Sent emails to everyone and their brother in Peugeot.I won the case, All the money back for AA coverage plus interest and £100.At some point someone within Peugeot sent me AA cover via aftermarket dealer, not sure.So full cover for 5 years, free. All my money back plus interest and £100 good will.Next issues garage did not change pollen filtes on service, £100 credit and job done next day. 2 years later same garage did the same thing. £100 credit and extra £20 for fuel.I mark filters, wheels and oil sump plug for proof the jobs been done. Not paid for 4 mot's so far and have enough credit fot next years.
Complain, you have nothing to loose and all to gain.

Only the Leon model will remain of current Seat cars.photome said:
I think that is a little misleadingTiexen said:Looks like SEAT as a brand is on the way out:"Seat is to stop making cars and will be fully replaced by Cupra over the coming years as part of a major change of strategy for Volkswagen Group."
Cupra is pretty much Seat by another name and they are going to continue to make the popular Seat brand cars
also most if not all Seat dealers are now either joint Seat/Cupra dealers or have rebranded to CupraMortgage free

Didn’t see that. Going to have to suck it up and drive to Skoda then or lose money. On the Skoda owners forum there’s been someone that’s recently had their Skoda written off, bought another but VW Group refusing (quoting T&Cs) to move the service plan across or refund. Still find it difficult to believe nearest Seat dealer is 90 miles awayCar_54 said:

I don't see an alternative to driving 45 miles each way to the next dealer.
This is part of the reason I rarely buy service plans. I've had a three dealers change hands or change the make they sell a few months after I've bought. I may pay a bit more on 'pay as you go', but I can choose where to go.
The only time I buy now is if I'm there for a major service, and they offer a 2-service deal, giving me the following (minor) service at a low enough price to take the risk.0
