Hello contacts from Octopus stopped 2/3 months back. As a test I sent in a password recovery request but didn't receive the reset email. I've checked all my folders and that Octopus hasn't somehow made it onto a blocked list. I'm wondering if Yahoo Mail is blocking their ip/domain for some reason. I'm trying to get in touch with Octopus (Yahoo is useless) but in the meantime I wondered if anyone else had had any similar issues.

Use the octopus app, contact them via X or email them at hello@octopus.energy

You can email them your meter readings or put them in the app?

I find their emails annoying anyway. I just give them a reading each month and log on if I want to check the balance, which I don't very often.

I do their spin-a-wheel thing when i give them a reading but that's a waste of time too.

It may be a third party such a spamhaus which can be a right pain.  It often blocks some of the emails I send via a distribution list to members of an association to which I belong.

Hotmail has started rejecting some, but not all, incoming Octopus emails. Yahoo might be doing the same. I don't receive bills but can still contact CS.
It's to do with how Octopus's email servers are set up, and how Hotmail validates sender details.
I can still see all the emails I've missed on my online Octopus account.

As an aside, this seems to be a growing problem.  I sorted out a neighbour a few months ago who was missing emails because the advertising/personal data acquisition funded email service he was using was excluding emails from some senders.  Just had to do the same this past weekend for a friend.  I've paid for my own email server and domain name for a long time now, so can choose whatever server settings I wish, but did have to change the default server-side settings earlier this year as some genuine (as it happens from our old energy supplier) were being blocked by the default antispam rules.
Well worth checking if anyone believes they may have missed an important email.

I use Yahoo and I'm not seeing any problems. My only thought is that I only use Yahoo, no apps or anything. Are Octopus sending messages by a different route now?
