Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, windy and blustery start to the day, hoping for a dry day.
Dinner last night was chicken, mash, veg and gravy. Tonight I'm not sure.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Wild out this morning with very strong winds and driving rain, can't see the drive to work being much fun today.
I have a haircut tonight after work and must go and deliver some presents whilst I'm out.
Lovely pot luck lunch yesterday, quite a treat and I managed to get to eat with everyone else so that was a bonus. Church service this afternoon but I don't think I will be going, quite a lot to do and it will be nice to have peace and quiet to get things done when everyone else is out.
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better today, shortest day so not expecting much daylight!
Take care. XX

Snoozer Pleased to hear you're all feeling better, hope Steve gets home soon.
Not sure about grief counselling, left me feeling physically and emotionally exhausted. Another session next week.
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning all
Still a bit dark to see what the weather is doing but I think we are due rain later. Having not slept properly for about a week (insomnia) I had a fairly good night last night I woke at 2 and then 5 briefly so I feel much better for it today.
I am off to get Rob this morning his work is now closed for Christmas so we will go and do the last bits of shopping and have lunch out and then drive round and look at the Xmas lights, I will take mum too as she will enjoy it and she needs some shopping.
Dinner tonight will be something and chips maybe bacon and egg will have a rummage later and see what we have.
Snoozer I’m glad you are all on the mend xx
Silver Oldie bear with the counselling I think it’s very hard and emotional to start but that’s part of the process, sending love to you xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
My, that wind is fierce,it's been raging and howling all night. I'm glad that I don't have to go out as I cancelled my pool session.Yesterday I hunkered down under the electric throw, drank a load of water and felt truly miserable with myself.Plans for the next few days are cancelled. Tomorrow I was due to go to see the ballet in Glasgow but I can't cough and splutter my way through it and infect all and sundry. 🥲 I'll probably still go down for my hotel stay as I'm meeting up with an old friend after the ballet has finished and I've a fresh food order to collect from the Italian cafe on Saturday morning.I've always hated that all these lovely events take place in winter, perhaps I'll have a Christmas Day in June. 😀 Anyway, my night was intermittently rough with periods of sleep so I'm hopeful for a better day. My lovely hairdresser sent me through a new appointment for two weeks time so I won't be shaggy for too long.Lunch will be caramelised onion sausages with mash and baked beans. Mash and beans are my comfort food.9

silver oldie please stick with it ,the first few sessions are the hardest but it will help.
I’m driving 60 miles today to see youngest DGS be a soldier in Private Peaceful ,from the map I may just clip the bottom of the yellow weather warning ,will be interesting . Coming home tomorrow then back Sunday until Boxing Day ,they did ask me to stay for the whole time ,but any longer than three days and we will all have had enough of each other ,my grandsons there are now 17 15 and 12 and it’s so noisy !!

Hi everyone,
I had a really good night's sleep last night for the first time in ages so I feel much more positive. The sickness has left the building and Steve should be home today. I have mince pies and veggie flapjacks to make among other things so it's going to be a busy day.
Silver-oldie I can't remember if I said how sorry I am for your loss, it's a hard time of year. I hope you feel better today.
Gers, I'm sorry you had to miss your appointment and that your still feeling ill, I hope today is better. Tuesday turned out quite expensive because I cancelled the cleaner because |I didn't want to pass on the bug but still paid her because of the late notice and gave her a Christmas box.
Ruby, if I didn't think it would confuse him I'd tell you to wish Rob a Happy Christmas from all his Aunties on here.
Have a good day.9 -
Morning all well its all quiet in the Bella house this morning. DS dropped at work and then last trip to aldi to get xmas food other than that i just need to finish the gift shopping . No tree or decs for us this year as i can't face it for a few days still trying to catch up from holiday as long as we are all together thats all that matters .
India was wonderful the Taj Mahal was a true wonder and the mini Taj is also worth a visit . Delhi well best left there as the worlds most polluted city it lived up to its name. We did a street food tour which we try to do everywhere we go as its a great way to see the city and do things you may not feel confident to do alone or go to areas that not many westerners go to ,they were continually staring at us and asking for photos the children were very interested in our lives and where we were from.
Silver Oldie I am sorry for your loss and i hope the counselling can help you x
Gers Sorry to hear your not feeling great take care and enjoy your little hotel stay being pampered

Morning all.
Gosh, condolences to all the poorly people, so many around. Gers: so sorry all your plans have had to change. It's miserable feeling ill and hope you feel much better very soon.
Snoozer: thank goodness it was short lived and fingers crossed for Steve getting home soon.
DH is still faintly positive here, which is a great shame, as the children are taking me out for a birthday lunch today! It's the birthday where you have to renew your driving licence for the first time
Have a good day everyone!9 -
Morning all, it's dry and bright this morning but very windy. I slept in late this morning, I must have needed it.
I did the bulk of my present wrapping yesterday and there's only a bit left to finish off today. At the moment I'm waiting for my Iceland order to arrive, 3 things OOS but nothing I can't do without. I'll have to re-jig the chest freezer as I'll need the meat brought to the top because it'll get cooked first.
I've just been to the front door as our ring doorbell showed someone in and orange/red coat at the door, but when I opened it there was no one there, in fact there's no one to be seen anywhere. How weird !! Right another cuppa before the delivery man gets here.
Snoozer I hope Steve gets home today.
Bella nice to see you back and glad you had a good time.
WL happy birthday 🎈🎂
Hope everyone has a good day and all the poorly ones can cwtch up warm.
Take care all, stay safe
nan xx

Morning all
It's very wild and windy here today, I didn't have the best of sleeps as their was stuff rattling about outside all night, but it was a better one than the night before.
We have our Christmas party at nursery today so the children will all be hyper when I go in at lunchtime...a special guest is arranged at 2.30...fingers crossed he doesn't get blown past on his sleigh! Little one also has her Christmas party at school so no doubt she will be hyper too. They had their first night at the new house last night and she'd gone straight to sleep in her new bed....she'd also been very excited to walk to school this morning instead of going in the car. DD has decided not to put a Christmas tree up at this late stage and is just putting things up little one has made at school and their cards. No doubt she'll go all out next year and her living room will be like a grotto the first week in December.
Thank you for all the good wishes for them x
It's a shame you've had to change your plans Gers, we seem to have a lot of poorlies amongst us just now. Glad your family are feeling better though Snoozer.
Wcked lady - enjoy your birthday meal
Better get going...hope everyone has a good day x9
